The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

There are absolutely NO words in any language that can describe the amount of joy and happiness seeing this trailer brings me.
This trailer makes this movie look like EVERYTHING I have been wishing and hoping for and then some.
This is why I love Peter Jackson and all of his work so much... He does his homework, he's extremely loyal to the source material, he takes his time, and he doesn't take projects he has no personal interest in.
This movie is shaping up to be a perfect fit with the LOTR trilogy.
I haven't been this excited for a movie since The Fellowship of The Ring (one of my all time favorite movies)
Take a look for yourself and let me know what you think in the comments below.

Ghost Rider:Spirit of Vengeance

I do have to admit... this does look about 938593749583 times BETTER than the original... but Nick Cage... AGAIN?
I guess I can appreciate the fact that different directors are using the same star actor for the sake of continuity alone... but Nick Cage... AGAIN!? He's too fucking OLD!
Whatever... it is what it is... looks pretty decent though. The action and CG look great.

The Nintendo Wii gets another price drop?

I have no idea if this a official move by Nintendo to try for one more push for those that still don't own a Nintendo Wii or if it was just a in store sale.
None the less, the Wii was on sale at my local Target for even less than it already is... 149.99 to 129.99.
If you don't own a Wii and are interested in getting one but have been putting it off, you officially have no more excuses... It doesn't get much better than that.
The Nintendo Wii bundle being sold includes either a Red or Black console, the Wii Motion Plus, and Mario Kart with steering wheel... all for 130.00...
A console that is cheaper than some "Special Edition" games... Nintendo, your too good to us. :)

3DS price drop

The 3DS is getting a HUGE price drop on August 11th... 3 days from now to be exact (most likely due to extremely poor launch sales).
Nintendo's new 3D no glasses necessary hand-held console will be receiving a whopping 80 dollar price drop... 249.99 to 169.99 placing it evenly priced as it's predecessor the DSi XL.
It's also rumored (no fact) that Walmart may be receiving and selling there reduced priced 3DS systems on August 9th, 2 days earlier than everyone else. If anything, It might be worth it to at least check your local Walmart tomorrow if you plan on buying a 3DS just to possibly beat the inevitable "out of stock" sign you are bound to see in the weeks to come.
To all of you out there kicking your self's in the ass right now for buying the 3DS for it's original 250 dollar price tag... NOT TO WORRY! Nintendo feel's your pain and is saying there sorry and that they appreciate your support by hooking you up with 10, yes TEN absolutely free down-loadable games from a list selected by Nintendo just for this occasion on there online store. Not bad.
If you don't have the Internet... your just shit out of luck.
Spread the word, lets all go get a 3DS for a much more appropriate price! Hooray for patience!

Superman: Man of Steel set for a 2012 release.

This is your new Superman. Personally... Not impressed.
I DO on the other hand like that Zach Snyder is at the wheel and directing this new interpretation/reboot of the Man of Steel.

What do you think?

The Avengers teaser trailer leaked...

It has quickly become a known thing that the recent Marvel movies always have a after the credits movie clip that all hint and poke at the upcoming 2012 "Avengers" movie.
With Captain America finally out in theaters and the origin story's of all are Avengers finally complete, all that was left was a teaser for the actual Avengers movie.
Now, if your like me and have absolutely NO self control when it comes to not waiting to actually see the after the credits stuff in the Theater... then behold!
If your NOT like me, you have been warned! Leaked Avenger's teaser trailer below.
Looking good so far... not really too much to go on... but it looks like it's gonna be alot of fun from what they did show. Please Marvel... Don't let me down. I'm really pulling for this movie.

Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon

I had absolutely NO intentions of seeing this movie in theater... more or less in 3D... but certain circumstances put me in the theater with those stupid glasses on.
To my surprise the 3D was actually really good... wasn't gimmicky at all, very subtle and overall pretty damn impressive. The thing that made me really happy was that the 3D wasn't gimmicky, so when it does eventually hit DVD/Blu-ray it's not going to look like the viewer is missing something because there are 2D objects flying at the screen for no apparent reason... basically saying to the viewer "shoulda seen me in theater 3D"... it can be watched and enjoyed either way... Standard it's a GREAT popcorn flick and alot of fun, then in 3D it add's a whole new layer of depth and fun to the movie.
The CGI was fantastic as per usual to a Bay film, nothing new there.
The movie just felt like it had a much better pace to it this time around... as it should seeing as the movie clocks in at over 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
The movie overall was alot of fun and easily the strongest of the 3 films.
The NASA stock footage of Apollo 13 was a great/welcome addition giving the movie a more realistic and important feel.
All the good aside, this movie is plagued with the EXACT same problems as it's older siblings. The Transformers end up becoming a side note in there own movie. The movie almost completely focuses on Micheal Bay's ongoing and ever growing hard on for the U.S. Military and the handful of stars.
A Transformers movie should be about the fucking TRANSFORMERS, not about Sam and his awkward parents and the military guys swinging there dicks around seeing who's is bigger.
All that being said... The movie isn't THAT bad... not great... but not terrible like "Revenge of the Fallen"...
If your a fan of the Bay-Transformers, then this is an absolute can't miss because this is easily the best/strongest of the 3... if your not a fan and just plain can't stand Bay's adaptation of the Autobots, then don't bother, it will be just more of the same for you.

Also, Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime was actually pretty fucking awesome.

I give Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon a solid 8 out of 10.
Great action, impressive CGI, amazing voice acting (Peter Cullen, Leonard Nimoy and Hugo Weaving) and an hour long none stop all out Transformers battle in the middle of the city at the end... epic.
On the other hand, the movie is plagued with alot of the same problems as it's predecessors (just not as extreme), The Transformers once again seem to be upstaged by humans in there own movie and there are 2 very annoying robots in this movie YET AGAIN.
